Caricatures are satirical visual representations of people and political, social, cultural or economic events or states. Caricature relies on alienation and concentration and seeks, by means of poignant content or exaggeration, to be witty, to attack, or to comment. Caricatures are subjective in thrust and thus offer different angles on historical events. This makes them ideal for presenting historical events from various perspectives. We collect drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures that caricature things.
