Today Palais Schaumburg is the official Bonn office of the Federal Chancellor; here the Haus der Geschichte enables you to view the historical premises. An exhibition gives you an idea of its history from 1860 to the present. The Palais will remain closed for modernization probably until 2019.

Designed in 1963 by architect Sep Ruf, the Chancellor’s Bungalow was available to all heads of government from 1964 until 1999 as an apartment and for state purposes. This historical site has been open to the public since 2009.
